Having a clean microwave is as important as having a clean stove or oven. We were told by London Oven Cleaners several ways to clean a microwave and we will present them to you.
Method 1: Cleaning with Vinegar:
Fill a glass bowl half full of water and add a tablespoon of white vinegar. Place the bowl inside the microwave and turn on the microwave for five minutes. When the water and vinegar mixture heats up it will steam the interior walls of the microwave and loosen the dried-on stains and food particles. When the microwave stops allow it to cool down for a couple of minutes and then with a clean rag or paper towel wipe clean the inside. End the cleaning by taking out the glass tray or turntable and washing it as a dish. Some glass trays or turntables are washable in a dishwasher so make sure to read the microwave instructions to learn whether yours is or not.
Method 2: Cleaning with lemon:
Take a lemon and cut in half. Place both halves of the lemon cut-side down on a plate and add a tablespoon of water into the plate. Place the plate into the microwave and run the microwave for approximately one to two minutes. Once that the inside of the microwave is steamy, stop it and allow it to cool for no more than half a minute. Next wipe clean the inside of the microwave with a paper towel and wash the plate on which you placed the lemon halves. You can use the lemon leftovers as a natural cleanser for a smelly garbage disposal. Simply cut the lemon halves into small pieces and run them through your garbage disposal.
Method 3: Cleaning with dish soap:
Take a glass bowl and fill it with warm water. Now add dishwashing liquid into the bowl. Add as much dishwashing soap as you see fit. Once the cleaning mixture is ready, place the bowl into the microwave and run the microwave for a minute or so. Now take out the glass bowl and damp a sponge into fresh water and begin wiping the interior of the microwave until all spots, stains and dirt is removed. Finish the microwave cleaning by dumping the dish soap and water mixture and by washing the glass bowl which you have used for the cleaning of the microwave.
As you see cleaning a microwave isn’t hard so make sure that you clean your microwave at least once a week with any of these methods.
